Kennedy Scott's Marketing Intern visits Naidex 2019

Kennedy Scott’s marketing intern visited this year’s Naidex disability trade show at the Birmingham NEC on the 26th March, promoting Kennedy Scott and networking amongst a number of fantastic providers.

Naidex, now in its 45th year, has been a staple of progress and innovation within the disability and healthcare sectors. Year after year the show has brought together visitors, exhibitors and speakers from across the globe attracting over 15,000 like-minded, forward-thinking visitors. This is the only event which brings together traders, consumers and health professionals in one venue to provide the most comprehensive supply of opportunities, cutting edge products, services, and education specifically designed for those with a disability or impairment.

The show, which took place over two days, had lots going on including a live sports arena, which was showcasing some of the amazing sports on offer to those with disabilities. This included amazing displays by Adaptive Martial Arts, British Blind Sport, Para Dance UK, Boccia England, Disability Snowsport UK and Northampton Saints Wheelchair Rugby Club.

Owain Greenshields Kennedy Scott’s Marketing Intern said about the show: “I had a fantastic time. It was great meeting so many people invested in helping those with disabilities, from the people offering innovative equipment to make disabled people’s lives easier, to offering information for carers, to the fantastic speakers! I have come away from this show knowing a lot more than I did before.

Naidex also showed great support for the employability sector by thinking with companies such as Microsoft, Scope and Evenbreak as they discussed how to make workplaces more accessible, whilst also taking part in an Employability panel which explored the advantages, opportunities and how to challenge stereotypes of employing those with disabilities. Naidex was encompassing and so informative, that Kennedy Scott are already looking forward to attending Naidex 2020!
