New Opportunities

Greater London Authority and ESF 2Work Project

This tender is co-financed by the Greater London Authority (GLA) and the European Social Fund (ESF) and covers all London Boroughs. The programme will commence delivery in May 2017 and will complete in October 2019.

The overarching project aim is to support young people aged 18-24, who face such barriers to secure meaningful and sustained employment or education opportunities through the ‘volunteering as a route to work mythology’ using Team London’s broad range of volunteering opportunities to help build young people’s experience and employability skills.

2Work uses a personalised approach that focuses on the needs and interests of young people to empower them to make informed decisions and develop pathways which are right for them through Team London’s broad range of volunteering opportunities, employability training and mentoring to enable young people to gain experience, develop skills and prepare them for working life.

The programme will support between 237 and 584 young people to transition into sustained employment or education over a 3 year programme period.
