Travelodge Trial to Triumph

A brand new purpose built Travel Lodge hotel opened in early 2012 and Kennedy Scott made contact soon after opening. Kennedy Scott’s unique offer of a personalised recruitment and selection programme, incorporating screening and matching specific job ready clients to current vacancies, was soon taken up by Elly Watson, Hotel Manager. An excellent employer relationship ensued between our two organisations and resulted in several successful job outcomes in all areas of the hotel.

One particular customer, Sheldon, who had been un-employed for several years was employed as the Breakfast Chef and has now been working there for over 18 months. Having found employment in an environment in which he excels, i.e. customer service and hospitality, he is firmly established as one of the key team members of Travelodge Gateway, Hemel Hempstead, and has been highly commended by name in hotel reviews on Tripadvisor.

Sheldon’s account of how Travelodge and Kennedy Scott have helped him get back into the world of employment and into a job with a manager he can’t do enough for, are shown here in this video.
