Richard Harrington MP praises the dedication of Kennedy Scott staff in Watford

On Friday 29 May Watford’s MP, Richard Harrington, visited Kennedy Scott, a company that provides specialist employment support to help the long term unemployed get back into work. When he was there, Richard met the centre’s staff, current and past clients, and local employers.

Speaking after the event, Harrington congratulated the company on their “impressive record of dedication and success” and praised the work of local Kennedy Scott staff.

He said: “It was an absolute honour to join everyone at Kennedy Scott this morning.

“The staff there seem genuinely dedicated to helping people get on with their lives and get back to work, they offer a tailored, personal advice and practical support not just while people are looking for work – but also afterwards.

“This model that we have in Watford works so well, and it was good to meet so many people today who have benefitted from the programme”.

Founder and Chief Executive of Kennedy Scott, Teresa Scott said:

“I was delighted that Richard Harrington MP took time out this morning to see the work we have been doing at Kennedy Scott Watford.

“We have been in Watford for 16 years, and are one of the most successful Work Choice providers in the country.

"Many of our customers face significant challenges as they seek to get back to work - some have serious health problems or challenging disabilities and have often been long term unemployed - they need the kind of individualised holistic support Kennedy Scott can offer.

"Getting a job takes perseverance and courage and we are very proud of every person we have helped back into work.”

Richard Harrington had a meeting with Kennedy Scott staff, and then spoke to current and past customers at Kennedy Scott, and employers who have worked alongside them, who told him their stories and how Kennedy Scott staff had helped them to get back into work.
