Kennedy Scott Worknet and the BBC
Kennedy Scott's Worknet programme in Waltham Forest is currently working in partnership with BBC London to find suitable candidates for their 2012 Work Experience opportunities.
These unique 2012 Work Experience opportunities are open to Waltham Forest residents who are unemployed and over the age of 18. They would be ideal for anyone who wants to work in media or experience how the BBC works. The positions are entry level only and have been set up specifically to cater for residents of the 6 Olympic host boroughs.
Placements are available in the following areas:
- BBC Newsrooms
- London 2012 Central Production team
- Writers room
- BBC Academy - College of Production
- Factual Production
- Multiplatform
- BBC HR Direct
- BBC Radio 1 live events
- BBC Radio 1/1Xtra London 2012/BBC Introducing
- Diversity Centre
Requirements:
No previous media experience is required however good communication skills are essential for all these placements and you will be tested at interview stage.
You need to demonstrate
- communication (verbal, written, face to face and on the telephone)
- literacy and numeracy at minimum entry level 2
- willing to get involved and be proactive
- internet based research
- confident with technology
- enthusiastic approach
