About Confident to Work
We understand that for many people on Incapacity Benefit returning to work can seem a tough challenge, especially if they have had a long spell away from employment or are still adjusting to an ongoing condition. We believe that everyone should have the opportunity to work even if their health limits their options. We want you to see what you can do, what you would enjoy doing and help you understand how you can manage your condition in the workplace. As you become more confident, we will help you to explore the employment opportunities available to you so that you can makethe right choice. Confident to Work can help you increase your confidence and provides appropriate employment advice from people who understand your needs. The project lasts up to 13 weeks, is provided free of charge and does not affect your benefits.Your own Personal Development Coach supports you throughout your time on the project, working with you step by step to help you attain your goals. We can also:

Help you relax and unwind with free alternativetherapies such as Reflexology, Indian Head Massageand supervised swimming sessions.

Offer you access to Occupational Therapistsand/or Counsellors.

Advise you on how to combine work withyour health condition.

Provide expert advice on Self Employment from the specialists (InBiz).

Fund a range of training opportunities to suityour needs and interests
Are you eligible?
These services are free and available to anyone living in Sussex, Surrey, Hampshire or the Isle of Wight and claiming an incapacity benefit. Such benefits include Incapacity Benefit (IB), Severe Disability Allowance (SDA), Income Support (IS) claimed by reason of sickness or disability and certain other disability benefits.
