-Hallo there,
-There are two ways of navigating around this site. The menu bar on the left hand side has a number of areas you can go to. However, of these only the Wiki, the Image Galleries, the File Galleries and the Trackers have useful content, so far. The site's only been around a few weeks after all!
+Hi there,
+You're currently viewing the home page of the Kennedy Scott intranet/extranet. Most content is currently restricted to staff only, but [http://www.kennedyscott.co.uk/cgi-bin/tiki/tiki-list_file_gallery.php?galleryId=10|external newsletters] can be viewed by all visitors.

-Alternatively, you can navigate through the Wiki. What is the Wiki? This is the Wiki. A wiki is a website that anyone can edit over the internet, without it all passing through one person. If you want, you can edit this very page by going to the bottom and clicking on the edit button. A copy of the old version will be saved, so you can't do any lasting damage!
+((StaffLetMeIn|I'm a KS staff member. Let me in here!))

-The main areas I've been looking at so far include:
-
-((ICT Discussion Area)) - what we're doing and thinking of doing with computers, telephones and suchlike
-
-((Marketing Area)) - the branding exercise has its home here, along with the marketing collateral as it's developed
-
-((Admin Area)) - more of a test of the wiki's capabilities than a full section. Come to think of it, the whole site is just a test, though
-
-__games__ - Tons of fairly simple games you can play over the web. Use up a lot of space and bandwidth, so if they get too popular I might have to cut them out a bit.
-
-__webmail__ - does what it says on the tin. You might have to set it up with the details of your ks e-mail account first though. Hopefully we'll sort out a better e-mail system soon.
-
-__Wiki__ - The wiki is a website you write. This very page is part of the wiki. If you want, you can click the edit button at the bottom of the page and edit this or any other wiki page to your heart's content. If you read something and you don't like it or you want to change or add to it, you can, without having to mess about with complex tools and stuff. For example if the ((Company_phone_lists)) are in the wiki, then anyone can update, add or remove phone numbers to ensure they are kept up to date, and anyone can find a phone number without having to ring round the company. Sounds a bit dangerous? It's possible to secure areas so only people with the right permission can access them, for example ((Private page example|you can't see in here))
-
-__Trackers__ - some messages, you just gotta have an answer to. You can use the tracker to make requests (e.g. to Dan - 'Why don't we have any new business yet, you feckless scoundrel?') and then keep track of them and the response you get. It makes it easy to keep tabs on activities and very obvious if they're not being done.
-
-__Newsletters__ - get the company newsletter delivered direct to your e-mail! Cool, huh? Or it will be, when I get chance to do something about it at the end of the branding exercise.
