StaffLetMeIn

Note: This page is being superseded by a different site layout, with the page LetMeIn taking over the guidance on getting in, and the new menus handling the rest. Also, almost no wiki!

Are you logged in already?

First of all, are you sure you haven't succeeded in logging in? If the Login box at the top right says 'logged as:' and your login, then you're logged in and can navigate through the intranet using the menu on the left.

How to log in

You need to log in using the box on the top right to access the files and information on the company intranet. Your login will be the same as your email address minus the @kennedyscott.co.uk bit. Your password will be given to you by Naz while he tours the company. If you forget the password, then you'll have to reset it using the 'I've forgotten my password' button on the login box.

What to do next

Once you've logged in, you can explore the contents of the intranet using the menu on the left of the screen.

The file galleries

Most of the interesting stuff will be kept in the 'file galleries' section. This contains pretty much anything that can be stored as a computer file and is used across centres.
Instructions on downloading files from the file galleries can be found here.

The rest of the stuff

The image galleries contain KS photos for use in marketing literature.

The forums are like a message board where staff can hold cross-company conversations.

The trackers are currently under development, but may offer a way to request support or materials across sites and then keep track of progress on your request. For example, Mike Ley in Bedford could use an IT support tracker to request that their e-mail is fixed, then Naz would see that this task needs doing every time he logged on, until he marked it as complete. With everyone doing this, it would be easy to keep track of what needed fixing where. Like we said, though, it's under development.

Finally, the web pages on the intranet can be created and edited by staff over the internet. But that's another story. Enjoy!
