Change Coach - High Wycombe (Work & Health programme)

The Work and Health Programme has replaced The Work Programme and Work Choice. The programme offers specialist help to three customer groups who are likely to be able to find work within a 12 month period.

It offers specialised employability support, which is customised to meet the needs of the individual.

Responsible to: Regional Manager

Role Summary: A performance driven role in an exciting and developing industry, the Change Coach will utilise all their skills and innovation to motivate, advise, encourage, train, support and track participants throughout their journey into work and beyond. The Change Coach must be adaptable to change as well as being able to continuously improve their compliance, quality and performance. Due to this being a multi-site role, good team working skills are essential and there will be a need for travel and flexibility. The attainment of personal and team targets are also essential in this role.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

-Provide 1:1 support sessions for participants

-Delivery of group workshops/presentations

-Undertaking assessments to allow underpinning of the participant’s Individual Support Plan (ISP)

-Assisting participants in building their CV’s, completing application forms and cover letter writing

-Job brokering and reverse job marketing with all participants

-Liaison and relationship building with JCP, support organisations and employers

-Smart and effective caseload management

-Varied field work and outreach working

-Delivery of performance targets and compliance with standards to meet contract requirements

-Perform other related duties as required

-Strong and effective Communication skills

-Demonstrates effective questioning skills, including probing and challenging

-Demonstrates effective coaching and mentoring skills

-Demonstrates the ability to market specific attributes of participants to employers

-Experience in working in a target driven environment

-Experience of working with people with multiple and complex needs including health conditions and disabilities

-Experience of securing employment opportunities for a wide range of individuals

-Knowledge of barriers to work and the Welfare to Work agenda

-Emotional Intelligence

-Building effective working relationships

-Analytical thinking and problem solving

-High level of digital and literacy skills

-GCSE or equivalent in Maths and English at Grade ‘C’ or above

-A strong commitment to personal and professional development
