Kennedy Scott to deliver new Coast to Capital back-to-work programme to help the unemployed
Kennedy Scott has been awarded a new DWP/ESF co-funded project to support unemployed and economically inactive adults into work across the Coast to Capital LEP region in Brighton and Hove, Worthing, Croydon and parts of West Sussex and Surrey.
The three year programme, which goes live in January 2017 aims to tackle worklessness amongst the most disadvantaged in the region and will provide a holistic package of support to help unemployed adults address and overcome their barriers to employment.
Kennedy Scott and its partners will work together to deliver a highly innovative service to support participants including lone parents, those with language barriers and individuals with disabilities and complex health conditions.
Participants on the programme will have access to Kennedy Scott's new e-Circle of Support. A highly innovative digital platform designed with participants in mind which enables them to purchase wellbeing and employment services to support them towards work. It includes things like gym memberships, skills classes and the opportunity to gain qualifications.
Participants will also be offered more traditional employability and skills training which will include support in CV writing, confidence and motivation building classes, condition management advice and a job brokering service.
Kennedy Scott will apply their trademark Circle of Support model to support 800 participants during the lifetime of the contract by co-ordinating clients’ care by working with their support networks, including their GPs, social workers, JCP advisors, families and friends, to ensure a practical and sustainable means of getting them into employment.
