Kennedy Scott Shortlisted for National Employment Services Industry Award

Kennedy Scott was announced today as a shortlisted nominee for the Employment Related Services Association's Disability and Health Employment Award in recognition of their commitment in supporting jobseekers with disabilities into sustainable employment.

The annual ERSA Employability Awards celebrate and champion the exceptional people and organisations working across the employment support sector to help jobseekers in their journey towards employment. With entrants from charities, private companies, housing associations, social enterprises and local authorities, the awards highlight the very best of employment support in the UK.

Kennedy Scott customer, Sharne Mulley, has also been short-listed for the Significant Achievement Award after overcoming significant barriers to find sustainable employment.

Another short-listed nominee, Wolverhampton-based digital services agency, FlatWorldWorks, was nominated by Kennedy Scott for the ERSA Small or Medium Employer of the Year Award after helping profoundly deaf Kennedy Scott jobseeker, Tirath, into work. A relatively new company (less than five years old), FlatWorldWorks has only ten directly employed staff at their Head Office. Despite having no experience of employing jobseekers through employment support providers, or of employing someone who has a significant disability, they have demonstrated a remarkable level of enthusiasm, engagement and flexibility.

Last year, Julie Eastwood, who is a Senior Business Manager at Kennedy Scott was presented with the Employability Learner Award, for her consistent overachievement at work and for her dedication to personal development.

The ERSA Employability Awards winners will be announced in a ceremony in London on 21 July.
