Centre Manager (Holloway)

The Centre Manager’s primary aim is to ensure the smooth running of the various Holloway based programmes to the satisfaction of JCP/KS. Focused on building effective relationships across all key stakeholders to include; Prime Contractor, JCP, KS Partnerships, KS Quality and Management Team and Programme Staff.   

The Centre Manager must be hands-on and willing to deliver training at the centre as well as being responsible for ensuring achievement of performance targets on the programmes.  

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities: 

  • The Centre Manager is responsible for ensuring achievement of performance targets on the programmes and must be competent at formulating improvement strategies;

  • Oversee the smooth running of the programmes and ensure that quality is considered at every step of delivery and encourage and promote continuous improvement;

  • Support training team to develop effective training plans that are tailored to meet specific needs of various groups and deliver appropriate training as and when required;
  • Oversee administration function to ensure contractual compliance is achieved along with adherence to H&S, EO and other relevant KS policies to include completion and submission of invoices;
  • Effective management of all resources to include motivation of other programme staff, maintaining team dynamics and setting SMART objectives and managing staff expectations;
  • To ensure the safety and security of the site and maintenance of equipment and furniture including keeping all areas tidy;
  • Lead weekly team progress and review meetings.

  • Strong client and customer focus ensuring excellent level of customer service is attained, ensuring flexibility and continuous improvement of programme delivery;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in order to build good working relationships with staff and clients;
  • Leadership skills in order to maintain a positive tone within the programme and ensure that individual contributions are positively encouraged and valued, giving direction and support to team members;
  • Ability to motivate and inspire others with confidence, to take responsibility for their own roles within the programme under all circumstances and carry out their duties to Kennedy Scott standards;
  • Must be target orientated and able to multi-task effectively, organising own and others workloads to enable deadline adherence;
  • Training skills in order to effectively deliver the course to the benefits of clients and comply with JC+ requirements;
  • Must be adept in use of MS Office, Internet and email.

Preferred Experience:

  • Experience of working in a target orientated environment, ability to demonstrate achieving set targets;
  • Must have extensive experience with all aspects of people management to include; recruitment, motivation, training and development of employees;
  • Training experience to include, teaching or group facilitating techniques and experience of dealing with the unemployed;
  • Experience working across multiple programmes ideally on a delivery / implementation of JCP funded Programmes;
  • Understanding of self-employment and / or small business management;
  • Knowledge of contractual requirements for JCP funding stream, including a good understanding of the JCP provider guidance.

Preferred Qualifications: Desirable qualifications include – PGCE / City and Guilds trainer awards, NVQ Advice and Guidance Level 4, RSA 1 Counselling Skills, TDLB – D32 & D33.
