The lifestyle event, aimed at marketing employment options to lone parents, was produced by Work Works on behalf of Jobcentre Plus. Whether it was the array of confectionery or the soft lovable bear wanting a warm place in a child’s heart Kennedy Scott’s stand was the place to visit. Throughout the day the Kennedy Scott staff were in high demand from both the youngsters hoping to win the bear and parents wanting to know more about some of the KS programmes on offer. Our Women in Security project attracted early interest and "sign up" in readiness for the May commencement date and we were delighted to note that our programme, designed with lone parents in mind certainly seems to have hit the spot with our many visitors, 40 of whom asked to receive details on how they might join a course once delivery commences. In addition we attracted a number of applicants to our Metropolitan Police pre-employment course and to our Ethnic Minority Outreach programmes accounting fora further 60 visitors to the stand.
